New to the web is the strategy game Sequence.
Sequence is a combination card game and board game. The board
shows playing cards laid out in rows and columns. Each player
is dealt a hand of cards. When it’s your turn you pick
up a card and play a card. When you play a card you cover
the corresponding space on the board with your piece. The
aim of the game is make a line of five pieces; a sequence.
A cross between rummy and connect four, Sequence
is a fun family game with simple rules and logical strategy
so you can get into it right away. You can also play with
two people, a few people or as teams. This versatility can
be rare in strategy games, so Sequence is a versatile addition
to any games cupboard.
The Settlers of Catan is one of the most successful games
of the last twenty years. After the success of the original
board game, fans clamoured for a two player version and the
Settlers
of Catan card game was born. A nomination for the Spiel
Des Jahres, the German game of the year award, shows this
is no cheap spin off but a great game in its own right.
The card game has been out of print for what
seems like an age but thankfully both the game and the card
game expansion set are now back in stock.
Another modern favourite, the dice game Pass
the Pigs is now back in stock after a few moths of absence,
a good thing too as the tiny pigs make a perfect pocket size
game for travelling.
