Finca Legado Ibiza – The Rough Luxe Finca with a Special Kind of Magic

On a recent trip to Ibiza, we found a place that quietly redefines luxury. Tucked between Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town, Finca Legado Ibiza is a Rough Luxe, adults-only finca owned by Austrian creatives Andreas Oberkanins and Andi Lackner. Their ethos is simple: to celebrate the luxury of simple things – a vision they’ve infused into every corner of this 18th-century farmhouse, from the interiors to the atmosphere.

The moment you arrive, something shifts. The noise of everyday life seems to fade, replaced by the rustle of palm leaves, the chirp of crickets, and the warm welcome of a place that feels more like a creative friend’s home than a hotel. There’s a rare balance here – the chance to be as social or as solitary as you wish. Long, late breakfasts can roll into conversations with fellow guests, or you can retreat to a secluded corner of the garden and let the hours drift by.

Secluded elegance

Finca Legado Ibiza’s 3.5 hectares of farmland supply much of what’s on the table. Fresh eggs from the resident chickens, homemade jams, and cakes baked with fruit picked from the finca’s orchards – lemons, oranges, apricots and plums. Meals are unhurried, served until late, and always feel nourishing and thoughtful. In summer, snacks and cocktails are served poolside, with private dinners available on request.

The gardens are an idyll of their own – majestic palms, flowering bougainvillea, towering cacti, hibiscus, and vineyards. At their heart lies a 15-metre saltwater pool framed by oversized sunbeds and shaded chill-out spots. It’s a place designed for reading, dreaming, and afternoon siestas.

Design with soul

Inside, the haute-boho interiors reflect a deeply personal approach to design. Every fabric, wallpaper, and piece of furniture has been created or curated by Andi, blending vintage finds, artisan pieces, and recycled materials. Ancient beamed ceilings meet industrial iron bed frames; soothing white tones are layered with patterns, textures, and statement lighting. Each of the rooms and suites is unique, carrying its own character while echoing the colours and textures of the island.

This is not just a stay – it’s an invitation to live the way Andreas and Andi do: slowly, intentionally, and surrounded by beauty. If Ibiza’s beach clubs are the island’s heartbeat, Finca Legado Ibiza is its soul – a place where time stretches, simplicity shines, and the magic lingers long after you’ve left.
